The Problem
D+M reached out to our team at GELOCK because their Amada brake press wasn't working. It needed its hydraulic cylinders repaired.
We removed the covers and cylinders before bringing the cylinders to our shop. As we began taking the ram down, we realized the cam followers were broken.
GELOCK's Solution
We ordered new bearings for the ram and replaced them to keep the ram in a level position.
We also made custom seals for the cylinders, saving D+M significant time.
In the end, we completed this project in just 3 weeks—compared to the quoted 12 weeks to order new parts.
