Gelock is happy to announce a new open position for an Operator Class II for Tractors, Lift Trucks and Crane’s.
A successful Operator must be able to work independently and demonstrate an ability to consistently perform the following skills with accuracy and efficiency. They must be able to work from both written and oral instructions. They must conduct themselves in a professional manner in all situations and represent the company in a manner consistent with the expectations detailed in this document. An Operator must possess a valid Class A CDL Drivers License and NCCCO Certification with fixed and swing cab endorsements. Must be capable of working long hours on their feet and be able to access both elevated positions and confined spaces with proper training and PPE. Operators are expected to pre-plan work scheduled for the following day by preparing equipment and rigging as needed and must be willing to work across the full spectrum of possible job types (Crane, Rigging, Trucking, Repair). Operators will be required to work “off-shift”, weekends, and holidays. We serve an on-demand/emergency clientele that we respond to as needed. Working hours are not guaranteed, hours are based on the demand and need of the Customer.
SKILL SET REQUIRED:

5. Deliver clear and concise communication with Customers, showing respect at all times.
6. Operators are responsible for actively communicating with the Operations Team (Estimating and Dispatch) of status, changes, delays, or issues with any job.
7. Keep the safety of themselves, others, and equipment paramount at all times.
8. Follow all national, state, local, company, and customer safety policies.
9. Possess the ability to read and understand plan layout drawings and utilize them to position equipment as detailed by the guiding documents.
10. Possess a thorough knowledge of advanced rigging principles and signaling practices.
11. Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and workspace at all times.
12. Perform all necessary daily safety checks and pre-trip inspections of any equipment to be utilized.
13. Communicate any equipment deficiencies to Dispatch or Maintenance immediately.
14. Possess the ability to evaluate each job site and determine ideal crane location for required lifts.
15. Operators must familiarize themselves with each Crane Unit from 3T to 300T.
16. Operators must familiarize themselves with Tractor and Lift-Truck Units.
17. Operators are responsible for identifying the Designated Signal Person (DSP) and accurately following the signals given by the DSP.
18. Operators must possess the ability and willingness to perform general maintenance of all Units.
